The Earth Civil War battle scenes. The Attack on Babylon 5, the Attack on Earth in Crusade. Earth Alliance ships have been shown on more than one occasion to take repeated hits from peer weapons and survive. Not always in the best shape, but survive. By that token I ask where have seen the same from Systems Alliance ships? The earth alliance from Babylon 5 finds Atlantis from stargate on mars. Its in the in a little better state then the sgc found it. They find it in small valley where the weather for some reason is very calm all the time it has a little power enough for the shields to last a few more weeks keeping out mars weather if turned on.

Warships:

Dreadnought The munchiest of munch, a Battleship to beat all battleships, and NEVER built. Consider it President Clark's wet dream. :) Its on my SCS page. The drawing shown is the latest modification of the design. An earlier incarnation is shown here.

Orpheus A post-Dilgar battleship design, equipped with medium lasers, pulse cannons, and Heavy Rail Guns. Not a success, and only the prototype was built, as the Nova was seen as a superior platform. SCS now available! I've also done other views Front/Rear and Side/Top/Bottom as well as a size comparison of the Orpheus, Nova, and Hyperion.

Nova Gamma Class Dreadnought Prototype An attempt to create a more powerful version of the Nova. The Gamma replaced the eighteen Medium Laser/Pulse Arrays with Heavy Laser/Pulse Arrays. The resulting firepower was astonishing. In a test firing in 2260, the EAS Scipio Africanus all but obliterated an old Nova target ship with one volley. Regretfully, the ship's power grid overloaded and shut down in the process. Despite extensive efforts to fix this critical shortcoming, Earth Force technicians were unable to fix the problem without totally redesigning the ships power distibution system. With the Warlock coming on line, it was decided to end work on the Gamma variant, and in 2262, the Scipio Africanus was itself destroyed while serving as a target for the new Warlock class Destroyer, EAS Rhiannon.

Nova Omega Class Dreadnought The Warlock class was intended to replace the Nova, a starship design created at the dawn of the 23rd century. However, that advanced design suffered from numerous production delays and Earth Force decided to undertake a program to upgrade existing Nova class Dreadnoughts to serve at least till the end of the century. It proved to be an expensive undertaking and only a handful were actually modified before the program was cancelled. New engines greatly improved maneuverability, and a better power distribution system, linked to newer, more advanced weapons, made the Nova Omega a formidible platform. One by-product of the massive modifications required was the addition of artificial gravity. The ships converted were basically stripped down to their main sturctural members during the process, so adding it wasn't as difficult as some had feared. But, the conversion cost almost as much as a new Warlock, and by the early 2270's the problems that had slowed Warlock production were mostly solved, and it finally began to replace the Nova as intended.

Santa Maria Class Explorer By the late 2260's and early 2270's, the Earth Alliance, having narrowly averted virtual extinction due to the Drakh Plague, began a renewed interest in deep space exploration. After some debate, it was decided to design a new explorer class starship from the ground up, incorporating the latest technology in the Earth Alliance's possession. The Santa Maria class was the result. It was the largest starship designed by the EA to date, over 7500 meters long, approaching the scale of Babylon 5 and nearly dwarfing the original Cortez class. Crew and cargo were concentrated in the forward hull, itself larger than a Warlock class destroyer. Eight huge engines drove the ship, but it was by no means an agile starship. Even the addition of advanced propulsion technology, first used on the Warlock, did little to aid maneuverability, but was the only means capable of moving such a massive vessel. Artificial gravity for the crew was a bonus of this drive system, superior to the rotational section on older vessels, which were bulky, complex, and vulnerable in combat to damage which would either disable the system, or rip the ship apart due to stress. The Cortez design of the 2250's had strictly defensive weaponry, and not very strong at that. Recent history lead the Earth Alliance to give the Santa Maria vastly superior firepower, superior to most race's destroyers, so that it could defend itself from hostile powers more effectively. Eight heavy laser/pulse arrays, first employed on Omega Command Cruisers, were mounted on the forward hull. Over two dozen smaller defensive turrets and a powerful interceptor grid added to the ships defensive capabilities. A complement of 48 Thunderbolts were included to defend the ship, and escort shuttles on atmospheric survey missions. The huge frame section held jump gate components, since the primary purpose of the explorers was to find 'interesting' systems (resource rich systems) and leave junp gates so follow up teams could more fully investigate it.

Nimitz Class Carrier A personal design for a late-era Earth Force carrier, muchy, but not over the top, IMHO... SCS is available. Obviously based on the Warlock.

Shinano Class CarrierA personal design for a Minbari War era heavy carrier, replaced by the Poseidon class in the 2260's. Here is my 'fluff text' describing the ship's history. A SCS is available.

Essex Class Carrier Based on the Omega hull, but with 48 fighters, SCS available.

Normandy Class Heavy Assault Ship My design for a dedicated Earth Force Assault ship, loaded with assault shuttles, breaching pods, and Thunderbolt escorts, though its own armament is limited to defensive weapons. I have yet to design a SCS for it, since I just finished the drawing.

Shadow Warlock MUHAHAHAHAHA!!! um...sorry, got carried away there. What if Earth Force still had Shadow Tech, and the means to use it? It seems that Crusade would have shown that they did, in two Season 1, unfilmed, scripts by JMS. Sooooo....oh, BTW, the SCS IS available.

Omega Kappa Class Assault Ship An obvious modification of the Omega, this variant increased the size of the spin section and also increased the engine thrust to compensate for the added weight.

Babylon 5 Earth Alliance Ships

Omega Theta Class Elint Ship Not to be confused with Meade's Elint Omega, this is my own design, with an SCS available. Named EAS Amphilochus after the founder of several Oracles....

Omega Rho Class Heavy Destroyer A conjectural design from the mid-2260's for a major upgrade of firepower and maneuverability. It was not carried out due to cost.

Omega Phi Advanced Destroyer A heavily modified Omega class destroyer, which entered service in the early 2270's. These are not refits of existing destroyers, but rather are new construction. Not as heavily armed as the Warlock, but slightly more maneuverable and simpler to produce since many components are common with the older Omega. The biggest change is the removal of the spin section, thanks to upgrades to the engines which are now gravitically enhanced. Weaponry is similar to the Warlock, with six MLPA's, though the arcs are not as wide. Railguns are mounted forward on the former heavy laser mounts, with two missile racks on the main hull. Additional defensive particle beams were added aft, and all were upgraded to the more compact style used on the Warlock. The design is nicknamed either 'The Whale' or 'The Turtle' thanks to its distinctive look, especially the central section and the protruding missile launchers.

Mercy Class Hospital Ship Intended to replace the converted liners used by the Earth Alliance since the Dilgar War, the Mercy class used the tried and true Omega class hull as its basis, removing all but the interceptor grid to comply with interstellar law on the arming of hospital ships. An enlarged spin section provides more room for patients and staff, while the large shuttle bay carries medevac shuttles. A zero-G burn ward is also included, and the medical equipment on board is the best the Earth Alliance has to offer. Some have expressed concern that the use of a destroyer hull might lead to accidental attacks, though the ship is clearly marked as a hospital ship and the advantages of using a proven hull design, and one that is much faster, and effective than any comperable civilian vessel, are seen as outweighing that possibility.

Mystique Class Light Cruiser Obviously inspired by the Warlock, this is the 'Warlock lite'. No huge particle cannons or missile racks, just LPA's, standard particle beams, and a dozen or so T-Bolts. If AoG publishes imporved Rail Guns, as they hint in the FA Warlock description, it might get some.

Ardent Class Monitor Envisioned somewhat as an Orestes replacement, smaller and less powerful, but more maneuverable.

Electra Class Monitor A new Earth Alliance monitor, developed in the late 2260's as the final replacement for the ancient Orestes, and the younger, but more limited, Ardent. She is heavily armed with ten medium laser/pulse arrays, two railguns, along with defensive weapons and long range missile racks, and carries a complement of fighters. It has a Warlock style gravitic drive and artificial gravity, but lacks a jump engine since it is intended to operate in support of colonies with jump gates. The lack of a jump engine also provides a considerable savings in construction costs. With artificial gravity, it can stay on station for extended periods without a loss in crew efficiency, a major advantage over the Orestes. It can also run circles around the Orestes, though even an Explorer could do that! Still, it is a very capable defensive unit. The first examples are being sent to border worlds, primarily those along the Centauri frontier.

Apache Class Escort A personal design, aka Apache class. A modern (late 2250's) EA escort, no gravity, 12 Starfury or T-Bolts, medium weapons, no SCS yet...

Odin My design for an Olympus replacement, no SCS. Probably a dozen fighters, moderate weaponry...

Space Stations

Polaris Class Orbital Complex My design for a 'small' EA space station, similar in concept to the Centauri Marcanos and Narn Ja'Dul. Lightly armed, with a squadron of fighters. Designed for systems that don't rate an Orion, or as orbital industrial centers, etc...

Fighters

Remora Assault Craft Designed to get marines to a target no matter what...combining aspects of a breaching pod and a fighter, probably in the 'super heavy' range, SCS now available...btw, I updated the picture so its now the same scale as the rest of the fighters.

SA-29 Mustang Medium Fighter An Earth Force medium fighter, basically a smaller, single seat, Thunderbolt, weaker armor, fewer missiles, and less structure, but slightly faster, and has the added advantage of being able to be carried by older ships that couldn't accept Thunderbolts, though some modification is needed to their hangers. Its SCS is on my SCS page.

SA-31 Falcon Medium Fighter The Falcon is an attempt to merge the manueverability of the classic Starfury with the atmospheric capabilities of the Thunderbolt and Mustang. The newer, atmospheric capable fighters, had their cockpits extended forward from the main body of the ship. This reduced manueverability in space by moving mass away from the center of rotation, and increased the g-forces on the pilot when making rapid maneuvers. The Falcon attempts to solve these problems by sweeping the wings forward, moving the engines to a point near the fighter's balance point. The Falcon is also lighter than the other two fighters, being on the border between a light fighter and a medium fighter. It cannot carry the larger missiles used by the Thunderbolt, only the smaller dogfight missiles. Still, it is equipped with the powerful gatling pulse cannon that makes the Thunderbolt and Mustang such feared units and is intended primarily as a dogfighter.

E.A.S. STYX	The E.A.S.Styx is the Flagship and the first Warlock Destroyer enlisted in in the E.F.N.I. hers twin unit, the E.A.S.Phoenix, was enlisted in the E.F.N.I. Naval Service in the 2274.
E.A.S. NIKE	The Nike class battlecruiser, developed with the contribution of the E.F.N.I. Technical Section, is the fastest and one of the the most advanced and effective Warships of the Earthforce Navy. Eight of them are operated by the E.F.N.I. NOVA DELTA	This last evolution of a glorious breed of starships is present in twelve units in the ranks of the E.F.N.I.
E.A.S. LUPO	This new, effective and fast Warship is the most numerous unit enlisted in different variants in the ranks of E.F.N.I.
E.A.S.GLADIUM	This special purpose ship is a derivation of the Centurion class Dreadnought, operated by the E.F.N.I., and built in accordance with E.F.N.I. specifications with the support of the Earthforce Navy. She is actually issued in a significan quantity to the Earthforce Battle Divisions and Naval Assault Divisions.

WARLOCK DESTROYERS	The Warlock is unanimously considered the most relevant element of the Earthforce space power. This page not only presents the actual Warlocks, but the whole evolution of the Earth Alliance Destroyers from the inception of the Omega, just after the end of the Minbari War, through the various stages of evolution of the Warlock.
E.A.S. TITANS	The E.A.S. Titans is a Warlock class advanced destroyer (1st batch) that, under the command of Cdr. Susan Ivanova (Navy) has been merged with Vorlon tech, specifically the leftover components of Kosh 2.0's destroyed transport, recovered from the Babylon 5 diplomatic station. The development of this ship and her evolution was supervisioned by Mr. Galen, Tecnomage.
E.A.S.CENTURION	The E.A.S Centurion is a new, powerful Drednought, that will become a mainstay of the future task forces of the Earth Alliance Navy. The E.F.N.I., with his Technical Section, gave his contribution to the development of this new class of ships.
E.A.S.VIGILANTE	This fast, well armed unit design is the Outcome of a request, made by the Earthforce, for an unit capable to carry on the duties of escort and anti-piracy patrol and pursuit.
NOVA II	The Nova II Is a new Line Dreadnought, assigned to missions in defensive and offensive situations; this class will flank the Warlocks in the most demanding and specialized anti ship engagements.
THE BRIGHTWARRIOR PROJECT - PART I	This page illustrates the outcomes of the Brightwarrior program, carried on by Earthforce, with the technical and informative support of the E.F.N.I. , one of the main supporters of this important activity, aimed to upgrade the combat capability of the standard units of the Fleet in terms of weapons, protection, sensors.

AURORA STARFURY

The SA-26 Aurora Starfury is the most classic Earth Alliance Fighter. Actaully flanked and partially replaced by the new SA-32 Thunderbolt Starfury and SA-34 Firebolt Starfury, it is still today the most widely used EA fighter, and with good reasons. Powerful, nimble, well armed, maintained up to date during its long service, has shown excellent performances during the Drakh War, it is still today more than a match for every known fighter, and an excellent, flexible and affordable weapon.

THUNDERBOLT STARFURY

The SA-32 Thunderbolt Starfury is the edge of the Earth Alliance Fighter corps. This two places Strike Fighter, both atmospheric and space capable, is the most representative Human dighter design. Fast, heavily armed, sturdy and well equipped, it was instrumental for the victory in the Drakh War: it is one of the most polyvalent fighters known: born keeping in mind the transatmospheric strike and the anti-ship assault roles, it has shown to be a superb space superiority fighter, with performancess barely matched, and just in a few specific fields, only by the best designs of the most advanced races, and it is actually considered one of the two or three 'Top Fighters' even by many Aliens observers.

THE MINBARI SHARLIN WARCRUISER	This page presents in an organic form the Minbari Sharlin Warcruiser. Maybe the most powerful warship of the Younger races, surely a term of paragon for every other ship, the Sharlin, and its updated and enlarget variant, the Shargoti, are the fundament of the Minbari military power. In the page is included an interesting 'first hand' essay about the Sharlin, kindly provided by Shay'Alyt Lennan Neriss, former commander and actual 'Fleet Leader' (Commodore), that has a vast experience on both the Sharlin and the Shargoti Warcruisers.
THE MINBARI NESHATAN HEAVY ASSAULT SHIP	This page we are galad to present to the public is an historical and technical article by Ph.D. Lt.Cdr.(N.I.) J.S. FELTS - Of the EFNI Historical department of the Investigation Office. It includes a complete overview of the Neshatan Project, one of the most innovative (even if unlucky) designs of the Minbari technology. The article is conceived as an overall analysis and contains many background informations that allow to understand better the relationships between the Minbari castes, and the relationships inside the same castes, and what kind of impact those have in the evolution of the Minbari applied technology.
PRIMUS BATTLECRUISER	The Primus battlecruiser was, and is still today, more than 200 years after its inception in service, a symbol of the Centauri Military power, and has influenced whole generations of ships. In this page is presented a technical description of the Primus, and a short history of it, from its debout in the Orieni war until today.
THE CENTAURI 'FIREBIRD' PROGRAM	The Centauri Republic, after the liberation from the influence of the Drakhs, rejoined the ISA, and was the first alien power to understand the gravity of the menaceof the Thirdspace Aliens. MILITARY INTELLIGENCE IN THE SHADOW WAR	E.F.N.I. presents to the public an historical essay of the CINCEFNI, R.Admiral Daryl Cellini, that offers an original interpretation of the events of the Shadow War, analyzed from the perspective of the Military Intelligence.
DILGAR WAR:THE EARTH ALLIANCE INVOLVEMENT	In this page, the EFNI historical office presents a short synopsis of the events of the Dilgar war. This document is based upon documentation recently cleared for diffusion, and so can present under a new light some aspects of the conflict that, until now, have been almost ignored or erroneously presented by the press and the official history, or were unknown at all. Even the participation and the activities of the EFNI are presented.
THE MINBARI WAR: AN INTELLIGENCE HISTORY ESSAY	The EFNI historical office presents with this essay an analysis of the political and intelligence facts before, during and after the Earth Minbari war. The tactical and strategic intelligence activity of the EFNI during the war is not included, because, while historically interesting, it lays outside the aims of this article. The Earth-Minbari war had a preparation, a beginning, a development, an end and an aftermath. While the events of the war are well known, some other events, that were at the origin of the conflict, and that conditioned and influenced its evolution and its consequences, have not been presented until now. Some of these informations, as will be seen, have deep implications in terms of history and policy, and allow a better comprehension of the great picture of the Minbari war, of the reasons that led to this event, and of its consequences in the following years.

MAXIMUM BATTLESHIPS	E.F.N.I. is glad to present This historical essay, written and kindly offered by Grand Inquisitor Dask, That provides a comprehensive analysys and an history of the various generations of the 'Tillman' Heavy (Maximum) Battleships, whose actual series (Tillman Delta), E.A.S. Tillman, E.A.S. Texas, E.A.S. Roma, E.A.S. New York, are enlisted in the Earthforce, and are among their most effective combat units.
HYPERION-N E.F.N.I. Variant	This page illustrates the Hyperion variant employed by the E.F.N.I. Actually substituted by the 'Lupo-N' frigates, this ship was the backbone of the E.F.N.I. Naval service in the period from 2248 (reconstruction after the Earth-Minbari War) to 2273. It is known to the public because this is the fastest variant of the Hyperion, but it has been much more than the 'Racing Hyperion'.
NOVA-N E.F.N.I. Variant	This page presents the Nova-N Strike Dreadnoughts, the customized variant of the Nova used by the EFNI since the late 2240's and that, even if employed in small numbers, gave an extremely important contribution to the activites of the Service. This class of ships is still employed by the E.F.N.I. - The page includes an historical essay to present an overview of the origins and of the history of the Nova class Dreadnoughts.
TIGER STARFURY	The Mitchell-Hyundyne SA-18 Tiger Starfury was the first of a new evolutionary line of space fighters, conceptual ancestor of the Nova and Aurora Starfuries. This light interceptor was one of the protagonists of the Dilgar war: compact, nimble and heavily armed, was a real match for the Dilgar's Thorun fighters, and gave a significant contribution to the victory.
SABRE CLASS FRIGATE	The Sabre class frigate, yet defined 'A great lost occasion' for Earthforce, was designed after the Dilgar war, and exploited the conceptual lessons and the technologies acquired during that conflict. While she did not enetered in service as envisioned by the Admiralty (that wanted to replace with the Sabre almost all the older escort ships and a significant part of the hyperion fleet), she is indeed an interesting unit and a very fine design, and a good example of the true capabilities of the Earth Alliance technology in the 2230's.
NOVA EVOLUTION ADVANCED DREADNOUGHT	The Nova Evolution Advanced Dreadnought, while not introduced in service, is a good example of evolutive design; she belongs to the same generation of the Sabre Frigates, and introduced concepts that could have significantly reshaped the Earthforce Navy of the 2230's. This proposed class of ships is the matching of the strengths of the Nova class dreadnoughts with the new technologies acquired in the Dilgar War, and represented a significant improvement in respect to the original design. One of the most interesting points of this design is that it was thought not only as a new production unit, but essentially as a conversion even for the older batches of ships, and introduced new concepts, both technologycal and industrial, that were materialised, more than ten years later, by the Omega destroyers.
SHADOW OMEGA ADVANCED DESTROYER	This historical essay presents a short history and a technical summary of one of the most infamous, even if barely known, ships fielded by the Earth Alliance. While the number produced was small and their operational career was extremely short (the whole class did not survive its first confrontation with their oppponents), the 'Shadomegas' have become, along the years, one of the most rumored and discussed products of the Earth Alliance, and both the protagonists and the sources of an enormous quantity of metropolitan legends. The purpose of this article, beyond the historical and the technical presentation, is even to provide some solid informations to the public, in order to allow to separate the Truth from the Myth.

Sci-Fi 3D Models a site run by Andrey Kurin, and allows access and download of his excellent 3D Models of various science fiction vehicles and ships, with a plenty of Babylon 5 stuff, either canon, official or fanfictional. Among them, there are the very well done models of a series of EFNI designs: Nova 2, Centurion and Tillman Dreadnoughts, Gladium Assault Vector, Nike Battle Cruiser, Lupo Frigate and Vigilante cutter. BabTech on the Netpresents extremely accurate studies of the fictional technology seen in Babylon 5. The articles are very well written, and rigorously related to the visual evidences of the episodes of the show, the links to many images and videoclips are many and useful, the whole site, managed by Brian Young is extremely intresting and deserves to be known and visited.
