'Mafia II' (X360/PC) to Support DirectX 9/WinXP
Interestingly, Mafia II only includes support for DirectX 9. Despite all the talk behind DirectX 11, 2K Czech has played it safe and stuck with the tried and true DX9 rendering mode to push this. The 2010 edition of Mafia II will still be in your library as “Mafia II (Classic)”. Any new purchases of Mafia II: Definitive Edition, or Mafia: Trilogy will also give you “Mafia II (Classic)” on Steam PC only. Original Mafia II (Classic) saved games are transferable to Mafia II: Definitive Edition on Steam PC only. Mafia 2: Definitive Edition needs a Radeon HD 7870 graphics card to play on low settings, with a Core i5-2500K 3.3GHz or FX-8120 processor to reach the minimum specs, achieving 30FPS on 1080p. If it doesn't works, then try replacing the whole 'data' and 'models' folder. If that doesn't works too, then the only way is to remove, and reinstall the game. But backup your mods first, so you can reinstall them in the new game. Also, check if any other mods like ASI plugin or CLEO (cs) scripts cause it, try it out!
